God’s beautiful children

Standard

We have safely arrived in India. It is our second full day here, and it has already been an experience to say the least.

There are about 50 kids in the orphanege we are working at, and they are such a joy. They are so happy that we are here. They call us “auntie” and “uncle” and are always willing and wanting to play any game and just simply sit with you or hold your hand. They have prayer 3 times each day the first one being at 5:30am and it is just beautiful to watch them worship together and pray together. God and those children are the only reason we are all getting through the day. They have such joy in the Lord despite their circumstances, and that is very convicting and challenging to see. I know that I do not always have joy in all situations including being here in the 111 degree weather with abolutely no relief. Even though we are in a constant state of sweat, covered in dirt, we can have joy like these beautiful children because of the Lord.

“Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks to the Lord in all circumstaces; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

Special prayer request: please pray for a little boy here named Segrive. He has TB and is having surgery tonight to remove 3 sores on his body. Please pray for his healing and for comfort and peace as he goes into surgery. Please pray for the doctors that they will have steady and soothing hands to be the tools of God’s healing.

Please also pray for all of the kids here that they will feel the love of the Lord and that they will grow and mature in there faith. Pray that the Lord uses them to bring the people of India to Christ. Please pray for our team that we will all have strength, energy, good health, and joy to spend every day loving these kids. Pray that we will be filled with God’s love so that we can pour it out into God’s children here.

my next post will hopefully have pictures so you can all see how wonderful these children are!
